Jewel cases don't really need outer sleeves. What these sleeves are best for are single-disc digipaks and CDs in cardboard jackets.

I've used SCD625 CD sleeves for years without trouble but on my last order I received packs (of 100 sleeves) where every sleeve in the pack was too narrow (less than the stated 5-3/8") and I could not fit a standard CD jewel case in them. I called and they acknowledged a manufacturing problem. They sent replacements. I could only use the "narrower" sleeves for CD's that came in paper sleeves. Hopefully this is just an isolated incident but I will have to wait until my next order to find out. I use SCDDQ sleeves for double CD's which fit with no problems.

I have used these for many years and loved them. But I agree that recently they are becoming an increasingly tighter fit over the 1/4 " jewel case. They used to slide on/off with ease, but now it is a struggle. The manufacturing changes are making this a much less desirable product.

I have ordered these for a long time and they are becoming increasing a tighter (especially the last oder 2/2017) fit over the 1/4 " jewel case to where it's quite difficult to slip it over the case to either put it on or remove it for play.

Be aware the opening is on the side (aka the short part). This doesn't really make sense if you place CD's on a shelf. One way you are left with ugly open end "overhang" sticking out from the shelf. The other way, and the CD wants to slide out of the sleeve as you place it on the shelf. They should have the same size, no flap bag with an opening on the top (long side), like an LP sleeve.

Great for digipacks and for jewel cases with slipsleeves. A real delight.

Excellent product. You can fit rather large CD covers in them. They remind me of vinyl record sleeves and I use them the same way. I like the fact that there is no sticky flap! easy to use, fast, efficient.

I wish I had ordered an extra 100! These are a must-have for single disc digipaks and other single cardboard cases. I have no need for a resealable flap, and these are great. I use them on some jewel cases, too. They are not too thin either. For double CD digipaks, I found the bags meant for the "Japanese LP-Mini jackets" ( item sku #: smlp25r ) work well for some of those, they are larger.
